The Lexinfo CC team offers a wide range of specialised library and legal information services to the legal fraternity. As qualified librarians with many years of law library experience, we understand the nature of legal information and the demands on legal professionals. We specialise in the sourcing, sifting and provision of legal information.

Alert Services

Alert Services available from Lexinfo CC include the Attorney Alert; Energy, Mining and Engineering Law Alert; Health Law Alert; Insurance Law Alert and the Law Practice Management Alert.

Book Supply Service

Books can be purchased at standard publisher rates via our Book Supply Service. We also offer guidance on which resources to consider for setting up, updating or revising your library or information centre.

Consultancy Service

Our law library consultancy service includes: services and functionality assessments; recommendations regarding design, equipment, resources, staff, software and systems; the sale and valuation of libraries.

Indexing

We compile subject indexes, tables of cases and statutes for law books and law journals. Lexinfo CC has been responsible for many indexes over the years, including the Juta-State Library Index to the Government Gazette compiled by Daphne Burger since 1996.

InfoPacks

Our InfoPacks on selected legislation are handy research tools containing references to various information resources. The products provide comprehensive coverage on the available resources and is therefore a useful starting point of research.

Library Service

Our Library Service includes: the setting up and maintenance of libraries; cataloguing and classification; management of library accounts and budgeting; purchases and subscription management; sorting and filing of material; training on available legal resources.

Loose-leaf filing

Our team is trained to provide efficient filing of loose-leaf updates. Individual pages found to be missing during the filing process will be obtained and inserted in the binders. The service is only offered in the Western Cape.

Special Library Projects

The Lexinfo team is available to assist with ad hoc special library projects such as bulk loose-leaf filing, data capturing, bar-coding, labelling of material, cataloguing, and moving libraries to new premises.

Research Assistance Service

Our research assistance service includes the provision of topic specific legal information as and when required by legal professionals. All requests are treated confidentially.
