Government Gazette notices (GN4457, GN4458, and GN4456 in GG 50243 dated 1 March 2024) regarding changes to daily meal allowances, incidental costs, and the per-kilometer rate for motor vehicles under the Income Tax Act 58 of 1962.
The schedule of fees of office as prescribed by regulations 84 and 86 in terms of the Deeds Registries Act 47 of 1937 was substituted by regulation number 4447 in gazette notice 50239 dated 29 February 2024.
A draft National Business Licensing Policy and a draft National Biodiversity Economy Strategy were also gazetted.
The Performers’ Protection Amendment Bill [B24F–2016], Copyright Amendment Bill [B13F–2017], Economic Regulation of Transport Bill [B1D–2020], and the National Road Traffic Amendment Bill [B7D–2020] were passed by Parliament on 29 February and submitted to the President for assent.
Additionally, the Information Regulator issued its first Enforcement Notice to FT Rams Consulting, a training institution, in response to a direct marketing complaint, citing violations of the Protection of Personal Information Act.
