Attorney Alert: 25 March and 2 April 2024 editions

The National Youth Development Agency Bill 13B of 2022, National Council on Gender-Based Violence and Femicide Bill 31B of 2022, and Independent Police Investigative Directorate B21B of 2023 were passed by both Houses of Parliament and submitted to the President for assent on 19 March 2024. The Expropriation Bill 23D of 2020 was amended by the National Council of Provinces and returned for concurrence to the National Assembly on 19 March 2024.

Sections 166AA to 166AD; 166AF and 166AG; 166AT; 166BC, 166BD,166BE, and 166BH of Chapter 12A of the Financial Sector Regulation Act 9 of 2017 came into effect on 1 April 2024 (GN4468 GG 50372 p3 25Mar2024).
